At The Blaze company party Glenn Beck gave everyone three books that have inspired him this year. We have them below, if you haven’t yet make sure you read at least one of them. In the gift set Glenn wrote a note:
I wanted to give you some reading material for the holiday. These are just a few of the books that have influenced my thinking this year. I urge you to read these to help you see where I am going, and then find your own path,” it says. “I am thrilled with all that you have done this year and I can’t wait to see what you choose to do next. Merry Christmas. See you in 14. Glenn
Book #1: Without a doubt one of, if not, the most influential books for Glenn Beck this year is Srini Rao’s book The Art of Being Unmistakable: A Collection of Essays About Making a Dent in the Universe. He spoke about multiple times both on the Radio as well as on The Blaze TV. He was drawn to Srini’s tale of being a misfit, which Glenn certainly is and breaking all the rules within the multimedia world!
Book #2: For a few years now Glenn’s direction of The Blaze and other endeavors have been influenced by Walt Disney himself. A few years ago Glenn purchased an original map of what Walt envisioned for Disneyland from the beginning. Glenn has been devouring books about Walt and one of those important books about Disney is How to Be Like Walt: Capturing the Disney Magic Every Day of Your Life.
Book #3: Probably one of the books Glenn has mention the most over the years besides Philip Dru Administrator is James Allen’s classic book As a Man Thinketh. Glenn just recently reread the book in October 2013 and tweeted about it saying “Just finished reading “as a man thinketh.” Haven’t read it in years. So worth the time. Very short read. The answers and peace explained.” It’s a simple read but will be some of the best 30-60 minutes you will spend reading.
